Big Beechridge weekend next for Dion Bros. Race Team

09/20/07:

Everyone on the team is itching to go racing this weekend at Beechridge after not getting to race our scheduled race at White Mountain last week. With good weather in the forecast, unlike last year, we should get our fill of racing with three days of practice, qualifying, and racing. We had hoped to use White Mountain as a tune-up going into this big weekend but with rain in the area that just didn't work out. Teams like ours that don't run every week or test on a regular basis will have a hard time qualifying against the regulars but with our schedule we face that every time we race lately. When we raced full time with the Busch series it felt like a "grind" sometimes but now that we only run once in awhile I kind of miss not staying more active.

The "300" should be a great weekend for the fans this year with nice weather and non-stop racing action for three days. You never know who will be there, how qualifying will go, or who will make "The Big Show". With rules that allow almost any team to compete it reminds me of the format that made the "Oxford 250" so famous.

I hope things go well for our team this weekend and the weather turns out as nice as they are predicting right now. I look forward to seeing everyone again after another long layoff so come on out to the races.

Yours truly,
Dave
